In Washington DC. It could be that if the presidential race is too close to call--they'l agree to settle it on a mad dash across the Lawn.

Very interesting photo Steve, great shot (why would they have a grid in a lawn?)

Artist Reply: I think it's a drainage feature so that, say during a hurricane, the White House doesn't get flooded.
