Chihuly inspired Mandela

Sharon Gonzalez recently shared a cool glass chandelier which reminded me a a Chihuly sculpture and that got me motivated to render this Mandela. Click here for the hirez (transparent background). :)

Artist Reply: Definitely appreciate the comments Dawson. I started off using Flame Painter to create the individual leg object and then further manipulated (rotate/copy and such) and added the glossy effects in the GIMP (with more then a little help from G'MIC). :)
