This is a 5" x 7" inked and then painted with watercolours. Highlighting is done with colour pencil. I really love how this turned out. Originally I wasn't going to add the Victorian design, but the dh suggested that something else was needed in the background. I'm glad I took the advice -- but at the same time, it was pretty stressful. I was forced to freehand it with ink because you couldn't see pencil lines where I had painted already. (Obviously the Victorian design was a very last minute idea.) Original art by Nora Blansett.
