TWO LARGE WATERCOLOURS 1975

1975 5' x 4' Watercolour WITHIN AND WITHOUT 2 in R.A. Summer Exhibition, reproduced by Apollo Magazine. Critics comment “It is one of the best of three out of 1,300 in the 1975 Summer Exhibition.” Sold to private collector at the PV. Next time it was seen again was at Bonham’s Auction House Chelsea: Thursday, March 31st, 1994 (Lot 62) MODERN &CONTEMPORARY BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES……………………………………….. WITHIN AND WITHOUT 1. Sold to Master Painters International at the Private View Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 1975. Watercolour 7'x 5'. Can be seen here -http://www.artwanted.com/imageview.cfm?id=452012 …………………………………………………. Both watercolours were inspired by The Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The cover was sketched out by Paul and then later designed by Peter Blake RA and Jann Haworth. If you have an original cover you will see a gnome in the group. This was because George Harrison owned a large collection of 3foot gnomes at his house Prior Park.
