Texas Hayride 1960

This photo is an homage to the old post-cards one would find in tourist attractions around the world. Visit Sunny Sydney Harbor (formerly known as Botany Bay) – or See the Pyramids and the Eiffel Tower all in downtown Las Vegas! Woot!!~:0) But I’m not talking about either one of those but a delightful hayride in Texas – 1960s Style – Yeah! – or Yee!-Haw! Now I’ve been on hayrides pulled by tractors and all sorts of styles, but an El Camino Hay Ride! Thas What I’m Talkin’ ’bout!!! Yeh that 1960 El Camino was not quite a truck and something more than a car. Some said it didn’t do either job very well but I say – Hey! – give the El Camino a break! It could carry a bit of hay and a passenger or two for a fun evening of hay-riding and necking along a pretty smooth track and look pretty cool while doing it. Chevrolet had a winner with the El Camino if you ask me – why line the bed with heavy plastic and fill with hot water and you’ve got a stylish hot-tub for an evening of romance. The Chevy El Camino is still a sought after ride that makes a great custom, restore or hot- rod – - – anyway you stack it – El Camino is Texas Hayride 1960 and a whole lot more – go find one to photograph and find out for yourself and if you decide you can’t live without one – - – Bring Lots of Money! – Ha! ~:0) VivaChas!
