Hood Ornament

You know the thing about shooting at Sunset on a Windy Ridge – with a Storm coming up the Valley below is that any Auxiliary Lighting and Reflectors you’re using are subject to Blowing into the next County! Then of course there’s the getting everybody and everything packed up and outta there before the lighting strikes. Naturally the model – along with everyone else but the photog – finds the tension palpable – - – The reason I say but for the photographer is b/c your intrepid Snapper is deep In-The-Zone and oblivious to reality – having escaped down the rabbit hole into another world ~:0) Eventually the terror in the others is noted and reason wins out – we’re packed up and safely in the Yellow Truck and headed down the hill to the nearest Local for some of the ol’ Celebration and Refreshment. The owner of the Chevy Camaro used in the shot didn’t even seem to mind having his Rod crawled by the Lovely who served as the focal-point of “Hood Ornament” b/c as he says, “It’s my daily driver and that’s what its for!” – Wow! Good Sport, eh? ~:0) Just about everything I shoot of late is Wide-Angle (this one about 20mm) with everything else set on Auto – Ha! Can’t tell you how many yonks back I studied photography and shot everything in manual mode with funny looking hand-held meters and bits of string along with pocket slide-rule and abacus – I’ve paid my dues – so no grumbling from you New Lot of late on the scene-ers – Now it’s all for Fun! – - – Well that and then there’s the Money – Double Plus Ha!!! – GoodOnUsAll and make someone happy – snap their pix ~:0) VivaChas!
