This is a portrait that was commissioned by M. Manzanares in 2011. The patron wanted me to paint her inner-self, as I saw her reflected in color. The pinks and purples to the left symbolize her extreme beauty - inside and out. The center blue represents her intelligence and aptitude. The butterfly holds the ideals of child-like innocence, the passion to make the world a better place. This painting enabled me to really delve deep into the patron's inner meaning of heart and soul.
