We've had this problem in our trees before---neat shot!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much! This was the first & last time we ever had them.

wow!!!! just heard about these sounded like it would be unpleasant.

Artist Reply: They're definitely not pleasant to look at all scrunched up like this but they're actually kind of pretty when you look at just one of them up close. Thanks so much for comments & for stopping by!

Cool photos- though I dislike tent catepillars because they are very destructive to trees (the gypsy moths they become lay tons of eggs... and they tend to nest multiple times in same tree, and the areas that the nest are end up damaged or dead.

Artist Reply: So glad you like the photos. I didn't know they were so destructive; guess I'm lucky they didn't kill the tree. Thanks for comments!

Great photos ! I canĀ“t say it is beautiful .... :-)

Artist Reply: Yeah, I understand. I thought they were pretty when I would find one crawling around by itself; not so much when there's a whole bag of them. But I was happy to find them & get the shots. Thanks for your feedback!
