This is an impressionistic painting of Chicago's iconic Water Tower, which was the only structure to have survived the Great Chicago Fire. As such it became a symbol of the city's energy to survive and re-build. Now the Water Tower is a tourist attraction in in the heart of Michigan Avenue Miracle Mile. This painting is the companion piece to the Old Chicago Pump Works and they would look stunning together.
