Airbattle over Laha 1942

In january 1942 my father was shot down over Laha (Indonesia) by Japanese Zero fighter aircraft. The Dutch used Brewster Buffalo fighters.

What a great connection to an actual event, even more thrilling because it happened to your dad. Yes, the Brewsters weren't much of a match for the Zeroes. Hope you got your dad to share lots of stories. Nicely done.

Artist Reply: Thank you very much for your comment, Mike. Especially as you seem familiar with that rather unknown Brewster Buffalo. My other fighter aircraft paintings also refer to stories from my dad.
