The materials of the painter and sculptor Ana de Medeiros is using, accompany and emphasize the certain situation. Besides acrylics, gouache, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, emulsion painting and oil the artist often uses additional materials like sand, nails, salt or parts of plants to further intensify the special symbolic character of her paintings.
