In a class room in the U.S. sometime in the late 1940's, the day is begun as usual with the pledge of allegiance. A boy holds the flag pole while a girl classmate holds out the flag. The teacher and the rest of the class stand facing the flag, hand over heart saying the pledge. In the rear of the class room stand a group of five soldiers. Are these the children's fathers or future?

as a former soldier, i really like this piece. and i enjoy the mood of this piece. especially with the girl holding the flag for the soldiers, and everyone else to see.
