Gen. 8:21-22. The Noahic Covenant found in Genesis 8 and 9 would apply to all humankind. God promised never again to destroy all life on earth by flood. The rainbow was created as this covenant sign for all ages to come. God blesses Noah and his sons telling them to populate the earth. God places all plants and animals are under human command forbidding the eating of meat with the blood still in it. The covenant forbade murder and commanded humankind to shed only blood of those who shed blood.
