Root Bear

This is a Young Grizzly Cub in Denali National Park foraging for roots and berries. The two tone color is kind of unique to this region of ALaska, I have seen a female sow that was of this two tone color,it is a beautiful coloration variation than one normally sees of the Grizzly bears.It kind of reminds me of a root beer float in color

Beautiful bear shot Gary. Looks like was in the mud with his legs and kept his body clean. I did see a few very light collored bears in Katmai last year, but never a two colored one like this. Wonderful.... Best regards Harry
