Thanks to my husband who spotted this big armadillo, I finally checked off another critter on my mental list of animals I want to photograph. It was a cloudy day and the 'diller was digging for grubs under the trees so my shots turned out less than great. The filters seemed the only way to save it, so at least y'all get an idea of what these strange but cute creatures look like. Taken at Elm Fork Nature Preserve, Carrollton, Texas

While In arkansas I saw two of these both road kill. They look much better alive even in the shadows.
