When you see a child, you see our Hope for the Future. BUT...when you see a child pick up a pencil and start to draw, you are seeing the Future of ART as well! How exciting!!! This is my youngest daughter sketching a giraffe while watching an older brother show his 4-H calves. I just had to make the pencil blue--just a small pop of color! This piece was an award winner at the Community Artists League's annual June Competition 2007.

It's such a lovely thing to see when they are so full of attention of what they are doing. The coloured pencil is a beautiful addition. I'm curious of the result, are we going to see the giraffe? :))Sharon Gonzalez 28 Jun 2008
