Every Tree Tells A Story #5

i often see illustrations under the layers of tree bark. I sharpen the image to give it more definition and often love to tell stories about the characters that emerge as illustrations of a story. When characters are defined, I reveal my projections like the profile of the woman on the right side of this beautifully textured tree. Who is she and the other figures she appears to be relating to? Finding the hidden images in trees is the first challenge and when I bring them to life a story often emerges. That is why I call bark imagery with strong characters, Every Tree Tells a Story. It is a great exercise for you to project what images you see and share your associations to the illustrations about the figures and other icons you perceive. This is a great piece to find the hidden pictures like we did as kids or wondered what the shadows were on our walls or the diverse images we perceived in clouds. It is important that adults do not lose their childlike wonder and imagination. What do you see in this photographic abstract?

Artist Reply: I love responses from kids. Ask him where he sees the Indians and that he is welcome to play hidden pictures with us anytime he want to.
