Artist Reply: Thank you! I did a painting from this photo, which is also in NC with my son and wife. I am thinking of doing another. I have shots of the falls from several different angles. It is really a beautiful place. There are upper and lower falls, and all are spectacular. It was rainy the day I took these pictures and I think the weather made the pictures better. You can see all of the falls from a boardwalk that goes along the shoreline, and for the brave, there are some steps that let you get even closer to the water. I am not quite that brave. lol
