A View From The Hill Of Slaine

The graveyard on the Hill of Slaine is still in use. On this day, as we walked down the hill back to our car, an old gentleman was making his way up. We wished him good day, and he nodded his head in acknowledgment. He used a cane to make his way up the steep slope to the graveyard, walking slowly, almost painfully. Was he visiting his wife, or perhaps his Mother and Father? We'll never know. But one thing is sure, whoever it was, he was devoted in his love and remembrance.
