Happy Hanukkah

Like most Jewish holidays, Hanukkah comes with its own special food traditions and recipes. Soofganiot (doughnuts) and Latkas or Levivot (potato pancakes) are popular Hanukkah treats. Traditionally, fried food is eaten during Hanukkah since it reminds us of the miracle of the oil that burned for eight days when the Maccabees purified and rededicated the holy Temple in Jerusalem. I wish all those who celebrate a most happy and joyful Hanukkah!

Why wait for Hanukkah? Seeing your photo makes want to have some latkas right now. Next Dec. is too far away.
