Trafalgar Square Fountain

Trafalgar Square is the most famous square in London, England. It was originally constructed to commemorate the Battle of Trafalgar which was a victory in the war against Napoleon in 1805. The original Trafalgar Square Fountain that was first added in 1845 was remolded in 1939 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Trafalgar Square Fountain features mermen and mermaids along side dolphins, all sculpted in bronze. Trafalgar Square Fountain is actually a set of two fountains. The photos were taken on September 11, 2007.
