The Alabama Clean Water Partnership is promoting community awareness of keeping the Alabama River Clean by sponsoring an event including 30 artists painting 6 foot fiberglass fishing lure sculptures. The event will be held in the fall of 2007. This is similar to other events such as the cow sculptures in the midwest and horses in New Mexico. Mine is painted in a "stained glass" style as a yellowhammer woodpecker, the Alabama State Bird.
