once again i've lost about 40% of the detail. still playing with the camera and computer imaging. someday.............this one is 9"x11"(23x28cm)

I understand what you are saying about loosing detail either thru scanning or taking a photo - I have the same problem. This is a lovely work, from what I can tell the detail must be awesome!

Artist Reply: it's funny but the more i experiment with the camera the worse it seems to get. i think i may be trying too hard;). thanks for looking in on my sight and your comments.

I was told by one of my professors lately that a strong light source is the hallmark of good illustration. Rendered in a classic naturalist style with more than just a hint of scientific illustration plates. sort of like a relaxed Albinus - makes Peterson look like a weenie. scott jones
