As art does indeed imitate life, this painting was inspired by my own shortlived musical career. To this day my dear sister still laughs at the memory of all the cats charging out of the garage every time my bow should as much as touch the strings of my violin. Could I help it if they didn't appreciate classical music?! Afterall, I am sure it had nothing to do with my abilities. By the way mom exactly why was I banished to the garage to practice?
