This is my beautiful baby nephew Caiden. My dad is holding him and I thought this would be a cute picture to draw. It's on 9x12" bristol board and I mainly used charcoal, some graphite and a bit of pastels for his gorgeous blue eyes. Enjoy!

Amber I have always enjoyed your work...and apologize for not commenting. You have an outstanding portfolio and have always been one of my favorites here at AW. This portrait is beautiful. Capturing a child is always difficult...they are so untouched by the elements and their character is hard to define...but you have done an outstanding job with this beautiful baby. I love the touch of blue in the eyes...did a self portrait once and added the same hint of blue. Truly, lovely work.

I'm so flattered, I have a fan! :) My nephew in the portrait is the most amazing, charismatic and entertaining little guy in the whole world. I wish I could capture all of his quirky looks he gives.
