©2006 Shari Morfin - This is a contemporary, mixed media, original work of art perfect for bringing beauty into your home's decor. My goal in creating this piece was to mix the dark goddess photo of Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, in a pattern with added graphic and line elements to create a clean and interesting work. Many of the stars are from a brush set courtesy of photoshopbrushes.com. Kwan Yin is known as the "one who hears the cries of the world." She is the goddess who vows to stay on earth until all humans have reached enlightenment.
Night is a one of a kind work, which will not be reproduced on canvas again (except possibly for my own personal collection.) A glossy print is made on Kodak Endura Archive paper, the emulsion of which is then heat & pressure bonded to museum quality canvas and gallery wrapped on a wooden artist frame and sprayed with a protective coating. The original size is 20"H x 20"W and the work is signed and numbered on the back as work 1 of 1 by the artist. The original is available for sale on my website www.sharimorfin.com.
