This is close to thirty years old, but I found a slide of it and thought it might make an interesting anectdote in the sketchbook section. Its not really a sketch, so I guess I will call it a rendering in graphite that was scanned for digital input for this archive. I cannot recollect who commissioned the work, but I remember how I imagined the incredible adventures the man attempted...and achieved in the name of polar exploration.
