I desided to create a series of designs such as kalidiscopes and patterns using gems,rocks, and minerals as the beginning point of the works. Each creation will begin from a photo or original drawing and will develop as I manipulate, add in design elements, and effects. I began with some agates with this one and went on from there. I hope you like these designs, and will create more after the firsts if they are appealing. I will compile some into a quilt like design after I have made enough that work well together. This means I may have some with the same colors or elements, but different designs. I will need them to work together in the quilt design. I hope you like these. This was created using Painter IX.5, Corel Paint Shop Pro X, and Jasc Paint Shop Pro Studio software. I used my Wacom tablet & stylus to place elements (such as paint tubes (like glass marbles) in areas I wanted them to appear. Not to mention, some of my agate slabs.
