Siren's Call

Siren's Call

A sailor's dream, a musical delight,
A ship's worst nightmare on a darkened night;
The crew is restless, the cargo stowed and tied,
Set sail for distant lands with the stars as my guide.

Beware of singing siren's, the old captains say,
For they will drive a crew mad and ruin everyone's day;
Steer clear of the rocks and keep your course steady,
The sails full of wind, pistol at the ready.

Don't be surprised if some day you'll hear,
The sweet sound of beauty somewhere near;
Know that this danger could be the end for all,
Remember the lure of the "Siren's Call".
