Squaw Valley Tram Accident

About thirty years ago, I was commissioned to illustrate numerous stories for the California Today Magazine. This is one of the acrylic on board renderings that came from that year. The story was tragic. A cable from one of the Trams snapped and sliced through the cabin. The survivors had to be rescued and it took quite awhile to get them all down safely. My illustration style changed constantly in those years as I explored as many mediums as possible as well as subjects. Being an illustrator for over 30 years was very rewarding.

Very STONG & POWERFUL artwork ,Jhon...goes well with the story...super UNIQUE composing...And YES,I think its very important to explore as many mediums as possible...for our developments as artists."TITHADESH" for your new self photo :-) of your portfolio...(Hebrew blessings for new things)

Artist Reply: thanks Nira. I make it a point to be unpredictable. Actually, its quite impossible for me to do the same things over and over. Not my desire to be redundant. I guess thats why we have the power to do limited editions now, so we dont have to repeat ourselves.
