Kopel finds his aunt in Canada. Her family is the only relative he has contacted after WWII. This is his first letter to her after 7 years in a Russian work camp where he had escaped to from the Nazi invasion of Poland Sept 1 1939.
I was so intrigued when first seeing this, then when I read the description I nearly cried -- what an outstanding piece! Perfection!
Artist Reply: You have given me the highest compliment I have ever received. How thoughtful and kind...not to mention inspiring and motivating. Thankyou!!!

Your use of warm tones in these mixed media pieces is SO affective. Very powerful subject matter which you handled with grace and respect.Tree Pruitt 30 Mar 2006
