Bridge Too Far

Oberkirchen, Germany

Our memories are full of people we've met and the places we've been, all of which sometime seem so distant from where we are today.
This drawing was all about bringing to life, the memory of a little town and an old train bridge from a place that seems so far away. For this reason I've chosen to call this piece, a "Bridge Too Far".

*****************

My memory touches on a place in time,
Of a quiet little town not far from the Rhine;
Nestled in the mountains as if cradled in a dream,
A beautiful picture postcard of memories it seems.

I love this town and especially the old bridge. Memories of walking over and around it and the beautiful sounds of the church bells on a quiet Sunday morning will stay with me forever in this wonderful drawing. Thanks Stuart for sharing it with others.
