Artist Reply: I watched the Egret catch a catfish. He was having a little trouble getting it swallowed. Barbs on the fish just would not lay down. It was really cloudy and I was shooting at f 2.8. All of the shots with the gator approaching are blurred to bits. I bumped it up to 5.6 but focused on the gator for the shot here. I wish that I captured the shot of him dropping the fish in panic. A few years ago I watched a Great Blue Heron make the mistake of catching a carp right next to an alligator. It was a pretty grizzly scene. Thanks for the comment, Rustin
