Clouds over Cerro Torre

Art Wolfe has some marvelous photos of Cerro Torre in Argentina. I actually never saw the whole spire. In the fading evening twilight the clouds cleared enough to reveal the tip of the peak. For the rest of my visit the mountain remained hidden from view. Here is the cloud enshrouded granite and ice wilderness of Cerro Torre. Some day I might just go back.

Well look which amazing light the mountain presented you! magic....a wonderfull photograph Peter

Artist Reply: I had hoped to see the whole mountain but the clouds made for some very magical moments. I did not leave with any real regrets.

THIS IS FANTASTIC PETER.... jeez I am so impressed and jealous of being there. did you do a bit of hiking into that region we are looking at? Looks very dangerous to me. Probably need a guide and some serious ice gear.
