2005 8x10 - Acrylic on canvas I started painting these this week and I am eager to continue in this direction... I've wanted to work with lower keyed tones than I usually gravitate towards, so I limited myself to red, blue, yellow, white and black, forcing my mixing skills to rise to the challenge. What's happening is a rediscovery of the earthy and rich colors that can be made, and the seemingly infinite range of combinations in composition and color relationships.
