Photographs were taken in my studio, "Mixam Tsivoni" = Colourful Magic, in 2005/6
Working with natural wool fibers, for the purpose of creating felt, textile art.
For the purpose of this work: "Tropical Paradise", I used different sources of inspiration placed on the wall above my work, as you can see in the photo.
For the purpose of creating art, I use one photograph or something tangible in the area in front of me.
Abstract ideas that arise in my thoughts, feelings and the like. (without no one staring at me ;-)
Inspiration is a powerful force to create, which is often difficult to ignore. But sometimes we move forward with life, without the same inspiration.
I got the inspiration for the name of my studio from a crowd of visitors to the Spectrum Gallery in the past, or from visitors to my exhibitions... some of whom expressed their admiration and saw my magical works, as magic.
My works of art are not magic, but systematic work, sometimes a lot of work over long hours and periods. There is a strong desire to create. The ideas are endless.
The name of the studio "Colourful Magic" has nothing to do with a song, any magician, or magic acts.
A connection can only be accidental.
