Remembering Dee

Dear AW Friends, It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my Dear, Beautiful, Beloved Wife Dee who lost her battle with cancer on November 4th, 2021. Dee with Great Courage fought this disease to her last breath! Thank you all for your loving kindness, thoughts and prayers. I Thank God for all of you! David....................Remembering Dee It was Saturday, October 29th, 1989 that Dee&I met at a Winnipeg night club; and we danced the night away; but in addition to our both enjoying dancing we quickly discovered that we just enjoyed each other's company; and that we also shared in, to our delight, the same Spiritual Belief. Dee once asked me why did I marry her? And my reply to her was; that her outward beauty caught my attention; and her inward beauty captured my heart! In less than 4 months of our first meeting, on October 29th, 1989, Dee&I were married, on a cold and snowy day, on February 17th, 1990 at Friendship Baptist Church in Headingly, Manitoba. As newly weds, Dee&I soon discovered that we had a lot to learn: about and from each other; in our journey in Life together! I have learned so much in Life through this amazing Women; and, if I may, I would like to share with you all just a few special qualities of Dee's character and some of her accomplishments in her Life Journey. From early childhood and into her early teens Dee learned to be a survivor, as she, with the help of a devoted loving Ba Ba, a caring Brother and a beautiful golden retriever, she named Delight, lived through some extremely difficult experiences. Next what I'm about to share with you will describe Dee as a Courageous, Overcoming, Dreamer; who was my Loving, Kind-Hearted Very Devoted busy full-time wife, lover, friend and soulmate for over 31 years; who had been actively involved in the arts all her life. Initially, she worked as a freelance fashion model after she graduated from John Casablanca Modeling Agency School. After we got married, Dee continued to pursue her passion for the arts which involved: solo singing at Wedding and Social functions, watercolor artistry for 10 years and photography and digital artistry for the last 15 years. Dee's passion for doing photography had grown over the years; and we started our business 'DEE JOBES PHOTOGRAPHY' in January 2009, after Dee, who had type 1 diabetes, almost died from cancer and heart complications in Dec 2008! Dee started doing Portrait work in 2010 which lead her to Fashion and Beauty photography in 2012; and she started doing: photo-shoots at fashion shows, working for a makeup company, model portfolio photo-shoots; and in recent years she specialized in Fashion & Beauty and Fine Art Photography and Photo Art. Dee found that the Hollywood Fashions of the 40s and 50s to be very influential in her passion for Fashion and Beauty Photography, which included her Inspired Fashion and Beauty Photo Fine Art! Dee is very grateful for the very talented beautiful models who she had the privilege of photographing and working with over the many years; and it was always Dee's desire to encourage: the people who she worked with and her dear friends in the art community to experience The Very Best that Life Has to Give! Dee also enjoyed doing Inspired Contemporary Fashion and Beauty Photography and Fine Art Photo Art; and she enjoyed the experience of doing: corporate head shot photography, photography for cosmetic and fashion editorials, family portraits, pet photography, macro floral photography, landscape, floral, and still life/food photography, Inspirational Photography, Fine Art Photography and Digital Art. Throughout the many years of our Beautiful marriage I watched Dee Patiently Persevere in her pursuit of God Inspired Desires and Dreams; and to become all, that she Believed, that God wanted her to be! When November 5th, 2021 had concluded; and was placed in the historical archives, for me it had a very traumatic impact on me, as it was the very first full day in over 31 years that Dee&I were not physically in each other's presence! It was in the early morning hours on Thursday, November 4th, 2021, as I was holding Dee, she left the temporal dwelling place of her cancer ravaged body and entered into Heavenly Glory to be in the Awesome, Holy, Loving Arms of her Resurrected, Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ! Words can not express how much I miss her; but I really Believe that God has a wonderful reunion planned for us, for all of us, who Believe! Thank you all for your loving kindness; and for your thoughts and prayers! With Loving Gratitude, Dee's Beloved Husband, David

Dear David, I just now heard of your loss. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out. I truly believe that you will be together again someday. Be thankful for the years and wonderful memories that you have of your time together. They will help to carry you through. I have lost three husbands but the memories are there to comfort. The holidays are especially rough but God never gives us more that we can handle. She had so much talent that will help surround you with her memory. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Artist Reply: Thank you Lorna for your thoughts and prayers; and thank you for your Heartfelt: condolences, empathy and Hopeful Words of Encouragement; I'm so sorry to hear of the great losses that you have experienced in your lifetime. Wishing you the Very Best in Life in 2022 and Always! David

OHHHHHHHHH David, I did not know your terrible loss. Dee was such a wonderful and talented person. My hubby Richard died this morning and this is Marie José who told me this terrible news. You and Dee like Richard and me were fusional couples. The cancer has killed my husband within 4 months. My daughter and me are devastated, but as I have a cancer too, I have to fight. My beloved husband made everything for me during my illness, and I have to continue to honour his memory. There are no word to consolate us, dear David, but be sure that I think of you and that Dee will keep in my heart for ever too.

Artist Reply: Dear Marie-Claire, Thank you for reaching out to me in the midst of your great sorrow; cancer is such a cruel and terrible disease. My Heart goes out to you and your daughter, as you grieve over your devastating loss of your Dear Beloved Husband, Richard ....... You had a very special place in Dee's Heart. I'm keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers... David

AWWWWW DAVID, I KNEW FROM THE BEGINNING THAT DEAR SWEET BEAUTIFUL TALENTED DEE WAS ONE OF THIS EARTH'S VERY SPECIAL HUMANS ON IT. AS YOU SAID, HER VISIBLE BEAUTY DRAWS YOU IN, BUT HER INNER BEAUTY IS WHAT HELD YOU CAPTIVE. HER KIND THOUGHTS FOR EVERYONE & EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL & RARE. I KNOW I DO NOT HAVE TO TELL YOU BECAUSE YOU EXPERIENCED ALL HER BEAUTY FOR OVER 31 YEARS. YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY VERY SPECIAL. NOW YOU HAVE TO THINK HOW DEE WOULD WANT YOU TO THINK; I KNOW HER KINDNESS & POSITIVITY WOULD WANT YOU TO HAVE A HAPPY LIFE FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS. AND GOD WANTS THAT FOR YOU ALSO & WANTS YOU TO TAP INTO YOUR HAPPY PLACE WITHOUT DEAR SWEET BEAUTIFUL DEE. IT IS THERE; YOU JUST HAVE TO FIND IT. GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU SAFE & HAPPY. YES, THIS WORLD WILL BE A SADDER PLACE, BECAUSE ONE OF ITS BRIGHTEST STARS WENT OUT IN IT. BUT DEE IS SHINING BRIGHTLY IN HEAVEN; THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT. HUGS

Artist Reply: Thank you Sharon for your condolences; and thank you for your moving Heart felt Tribute to my Dearly Departed Dee. Wishing you Life's Very Best Always! With Heart Felt Gratitude, David
