The pox is defined as any of several viral diseases producing a rash of pimples that become pus-filled and leave pockmarks on healing. The two big ones, historically, are related to small pox and syphilis. I think the latter was called 'The Great Pox' though, when you read about the symptoms and what it ultimately leads to, I don't find anything too great about it. I was trying to design a new sculpture with lighted eyes and 'pimples' that would be made of a translucent material with LEDS inside. I thought it might make an interesting Halloween piece without being stereotypical. This is a 9 by 8 inches gel pen drawing on lightweight acid-free paper.
