Inner Child

This arose when a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. I thought how we age and die while somewhere within remains this gentle, curious child. I hope I caught the wistful sentimentality in the man's expression that I feel when I look back on the child I was, the child that still exists within, beneath the aging skin and fading eyes.

Unique way of expressing the vulnerability that still exists beneath our hardened adult exterior. I tried to show the same thing in my version--an older woman holding her child self in her lap.

Hmmm, such an interesting concept and so well done too. I absolutely adore the values you used, and the central idea and design. I love this, great work.
