Seems I've got a terminal black eye these days. No, it's not one you can see with the naked eye per se, but it's there alright. It's like there's a perpetual sucker punch that never allows it to heal, to go away. This is 5.75 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil and another example of Original Jones Art as he pulls the raw steak out of the frig in northwest Austin, Texas.

No sucker punches from me my friend, but I've experienced a couple myself!

Artist Reply: Yeah, I'm not the sort either, Mark. But we live in a world where pre-emptive strikes as an early defense mechanism seems more and more commonplace. It's usually the fearful and/or cowardly bunch, as I'm sure you've ascertained. Hope you are doing great and staying out of harm's way. :)

Artist Reply: Maybe a salve of optimism applied generously would do the trick too, Ray. Yeah, I'll have to whip up a batch of that. Hope you are doing the same. :)

slap?...beautiful

Artist Reply: Slaps are open-handed assaults, Maria. And there are metaphorical examples of those as well. Hope you are doing great and feeling calm and creative today. :)

Iv'e had a few myself....good work my friend!

Artist Reply: I haven't had a physical one in a long while but those metaphorical ones keep coming one after the other, Elton. I guess your snow has succumbed to the sunshine like mine. It made a lot of kids happy while it lasted. :)
