The Gourd Bird House in Magnolia Tree

A gourd was hung in our magnolia tree and forgotten about. Then later noticed a bird had pecked an opening in the gourd and there were little branches sticking out. I got a flashlight and peeked in and there was a bird looking back at me sitting on her nests. I did not bother her again. Once in awhile I noticed a bird flying in with food.

BEAUTIFUL SIGHT. SMART BIRD. I KNOW MANY MANY BIRD HOUSES OUT OF GOURDS

Artist Reply: Thank you. I am amazed at how clever the birds are. Maybe I will decorate some gourds for next year.

WHAT A LOVELY IMAGE ..AND . WHAT A NICE PLACE CHOOSEN FOR THIER HOME . THANKS FOR SHARING SUCH A NICE CAPTURE ..

Artist Reply: Thank you. The magnolias and occupied gourd were perfect for a photo. I keep thinking it took a lot of pecking to make an opening in the gourd for her family.

TULIP MAGNOLIA WITH HOTEL...NEAT BIRD STOPOVER

Artist Reply: Thank you. It is a cute little room in a magnolia tree hotel. I didn't know it was a "tulip" magnolia, so thanks for identifying it.
