I seem to remember a song by Joan Armatrading with the same title. The last time I saw her live someone saw fit to supply her with a pretty boy backing band. I always preferred just her and her guitar. But that's probably just me. Seems we come into life as a twosome but leave all by our lonesome. Maybe that's why mothers are so important to children. And why it can be so devastating to lose them. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil by Original Jones Art who makes the oddest Mother's Day card here in northwest Austin, Texas.
