One of the Jones' genetic traits is relative to ear size. We have rather large ones. So far my hearing is still good, thankfully. But the ear is a sound funnel to listen with and it works best when the mouth is silent and, preferably, closed. A good listener is hard to come by nowadays when everyone is barking louder and louder to be heard over the crowd. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil and is, if I'm hearing correctly, another silent though meaningful example of Original Jones Art as he attempts to augment lost income by selling his treasured mementos in northwest Austin, Texas. (Beware the tattooed Lynx as she gives the cat family a bad name.)

i HEAR YOU...GREAT ONE!

Artist Reply: It's interesting how I start one of these with no real idea of what will reveal itself. The title many times comes in the midst of the work and sometimes, like it did here, after I was about finished and studied it more closely as a whole and not just a collection of parts. I appreciate your comment (s), Mr. Houck. In the 'old' days we had a more push/push when it came to comments though the 'flavor' of much of the uploaded work has changed over the years.
