A watercolour of Deborah Jane Kerr CBE (born Deborah Jane Trimmer, 30 September 1921 – 16 October 2007) was a Scottish film and television actress. She won the Sarah Siddons Award for her Chicago performance as Laura Reynolds in Tea and Sympathy, a role which she originated on Broadway, a Golden Globe Award for the motion picture The King and I, and was a three-time winner of the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress. She was also the recipient of honorary Academy, BAFTA and Cannes Film Festival awards. She Deborah played the Good Nun of the 1947 Film Black Narcissus why does it mean so much to me well My mother went to see it 6 months after I was born and talked about it many times. She was a gifted actress in a busy time for film both British and American. It is A3 larger than normal to pair the other Black Narcissus one of Kathleen Byron.

Excellent artistic rendition of Deborah Kerr's Sister Superior character from the 1947 movie- Black Narcissus. In my opinion Ms. Kerr should have won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal.Barry Huyett 01 Oct 2019
