The second generation

Rail traffic matured in the second half of the 19th century. The steam locomotives got their typical shape and more powerful boilers. Passenger coaches also became more comfortable with cars that were somewhat reminiscent of a horse tram, and a roof was even provided for the driver and stoker. Image size: 260 x 360 mm
