The goal was to illustrate a desert environment incorporating Thelemic iconography. An ordinary environment transformed into a Thelemic manuscript page from Crowley's "The Book of the Law." I developed an original typeface and incorporated a script version into the margins. The final result is a 22"x30" acrylic monoprint with pastel, colored pencil and ink on aged paper. "Beholding the Word of Aiwass" is intended to be displayed with ritual function.
