There seems to be a holiday for every occasion these days. I suspect it all boils down to sales but that is the world we live in, like it or not. Maybe there should be added a 'Dark Cloud Day' holiday to commemorate that day wherein the sun burns dark and the sense of foreboding seems almost touchable. Maybe there are too many of those? This is a gel pen drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Image area measures roughly 7 by 8 inches. I have convinced myself that this too is Original Jones Art, originating in Austin, Texas as the candle of 2018 burns low.

Well then, my friend, it was meant to be,...especially since I was through your earlier posts. Be safe and well Charles!:)))

Artist Reply: I think if someone really wanted to know me, all they'd have to do is look over my uploads over the last decade. Everything is there, Mark, if they slow down a little. Art is communication whether we try to filter it or not. Happy Holidays to you and yours as well. :)

Very dark and dreary, but love the pencil sketch, of real human emotion! Like the wood look! Great lines! Take care my friend! Happy Holidays & a safe New Year!! :))))

Artist Reply: Interesting you should comment on a sketch I uploaded two years ago to the day, Mark. It's one of my spontaneous combustion drawings I used to let out quite frequently---until the neighbors complained. Hope you are doing, feeling good and Happy Holidays to you and yours too. :)

Dear Charles; thank you for uploading this beautiful drawing. I hope your thoughts will not become too dark these days. Remember, there are a few out there more like you ! ( us). Yours , Erik

Artist Reply: Yes, that is comforting, Erik. Hope you are doing great and haven't given up on Charles' 'porridge' yet. I'll bet it's pretty cold on your little dunes about now. Big thanks from moi. :)
