The Browns–Steelers rivalry (began October 7 1950) is a National Football League rivalry between the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. With 133 meetings and counting, it is the oldest rivalry and the most storied in the American Football Conference, surpassing any other rivalry in the conference by at least 5 games. The two divisional foes have a natural rivalry due to the commonalities between the cities, proximity, etc. It is sometimes called the Turnpike Rivalry or Turnpike War[2] because the majority of the driving route between the two cities are via the Pennsylvania and Ohio Turnpikes (Wikipedia).
