I painted this original landscape in 2018, during my trip to India. I was at the Poonthottam Ayurveda Ashram in Kerala. This trip impacted me deeply inside and outside. While in Kerala I was at plein air everyday and finished a few paintings, most of which were bought right on the spot and are now in the private collections in Switzerland, Germany and the UK. I tried to convey the beauty and the serenity of the lotus pond right in front of the house where we stayed.
