The castle of Borgt

Last year I made an aquarel of this castle, in full splendour, at the end of the 19th century. This is the image of the castle, like I have known it, in the fifties. An empty decayed building only occupied by a care-taker. In the sixties the castle was pulled down and the domain became a expencive parcelling area. The centuries old plane-tree at the left was classified and is always there in all his glory. In autumn, I complain the man living near by. Image size: 260 x 360 mm
